Aperol Lemonade

Posted by: Amanda Sullivan

As summer starts to come to an end, it’s the perfect time to sit on the deck enjoying an Aperol Lemonade. Old Edwards Mixologist Jimmy Blyther makes his with special house-made Limoncello, but it’s quite delicious with the store- bought version as well.  This is a beautiful cocktail for entertaining on the patio. Once you get the hang of it, you can mix up a pitcher and really spark up your table.

The recipe is simple, and you can adjust the sweetness to your taste by adjusting the simple syrup.

2 oz Limoncello

½ oz Vodka

½ oz Aperol

½ oz Simple Syrup

2 oz Soda (more or less, depending on your taste and glass size)

Place all ingredients except the soda in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously.

Strain into a glass filled with ice, and then top with soda.

Garnish with lemon slices, tucking one down into the glass, and top with a spring of fresh mint.
