7 Reasons to have a Fall Wedding
Step aside summer months, fall is on its way and the color of the leaves is not the only change we will see. Our venues will soon be draped with a palette of deep autumn colors and the Carolina air will transform into to a crisp cool scent of freshness unlike anywhere else.

1.    Fall Foliage
Beginning in October, the Blue Ridge Mountains become blanketed with the vibrant shades of gold, red and purple. These colors make the perfect backdrop for wedding photos.

2.    Harvest Menus
The holidays should not be the only time you enjoy a bountiful meal. Your wedding plate can be as colorful as the leaves on the trees. The fall season brings fresh figs, pumpkin inspired treats, succulent roasts and full bodied specialty wines.

3.    Timing is Everything
Choosing a date to accommodate your guest list can take some trial and error, but the fall season tends to come with a little more ease. There are fewer holidays to maneuver around and less summer vacations to compete with.

4.    Fall Flowers and Décor
The deep hues of fall bring a feeling of both drama and warmth to the scene. Mix up colors and textures to keep interest on each table.

5.    Cocktails with a Spice
Ginger, cinnamon and pumpkin – fall opens the door to several flavors perfect for cocktails. Warm up with a specialty cider or treat your taste buds with a pear infused bourbon!

6.    Outdoor Activities
There is no shortage of outdoor activities to appreciate in the Carolinas. View the vibrant fall foliage from above on a zip line canopy tour or observe from below on a hike to a hidden waterfall. The cool air makes any outdoor adventure enjoyable.

7.    Sweet Treats
Satisfy your sweet tooth with a delicious mini dessert or warm up next to an open fire with an outdoor s’mores station! Whichever you choose, these dessert stations are always a fall favorite.

Our list of fall favorites could go on and on! Whether you are planning a wedding near the end of September or closer to December, the fall season is an optimal time of year to exchange your “I do’s.”
